Our Little Girls Deserve…
Every Little Girl Deserves to Be A Princess…If She Wants to Be
or a construction worker or anything else her heart desires and her actions dictate.
When I was little I did not realize just how many options there were for a little girl like me. I had no idea that there was such a big world out there to be explored and discovered.
I was also so paralyzed by shyness that had I know there was a world to explore , I would have been too afraid to do it at the time.
One thing that I am eternally grateful for is that my mother had the foresight to enroll me in a school where etiquette was taught as a part of the curriculum. To this day I would consider myself to be an introvert, however the lessons I learned as a little girl stayed with me and has given me the confidence needed to be able to interact with the myriad people I have met on my journey.
I think every little girl deserves to be taught these lessons.
and as Mothers. Grandmothers, Aunts and Keepers of the Village it is our duty and responsibility to teach them those lessons.
Teaching them how to embrace themselves and their beauty.
To recognize and celebrate their uniqueness.
The importance of health and hygiene.
How to dine with style and grace.
Help them to always have a voice and express themselves with confidence and respect.
To set goals for themselves.
To be kind and compassionate.
Yes, etiquette is all of those things and more, we owe it to our girls to prepare them to be a princess or anything else she desires to be.
